About the Job
There is an exciting opportunity with the Shire of Esperance for an Assistant Supervisor - Traffic Control. The position is required to assist the Supervisor Traffic Control with daily supervision of staff, independence, autonomy and working within a focussed productive team. Maintaining a common goal of safety and quality by assisting with developing systems and procedures.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assist the Supervisor Traffic Control with management and supervision of the traffic control team and contractors to implement Council's Works and Maintenance Programs.
* Lead Traffic Control work sites, including complex works.
* Ensuring the approved traffic control measures are implemented and maintained in accordance with the approved Traffic Management Plans or are modified due to site constraints (WTM required).
This is a permanent full-time position working 99 hours per fortnight.
About you
In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role in Traffic Control Supervision.
* Ability to read plans and problem solve.
* Class 'C' Licence
* White Card – Construction Safety Awareness Training Card.
* Basic Worksite Traffic Management accreditation.
Benefits
Salary: $113, $122,392.38 per annum, dependant on relevant skills and qualifications.
