The Role’s Responsibilities
We’re hiring for a Lead Solutions Engineer. The scope of the role covers these categories:
1. Internal cloud and software engineering services
2. Client-facing cloud, data, and software engineering services, and
3. Broad technology support to our Account Management and fulfillment teams.
4. Connecting business requirements and domain knowledge with technology
In this role you will be leading a team of solutions engineers delivering technology solutions. The role is for engineering leads who are true entrepreneurs and take on the role of engineer, consultant, and platform specialist.
Excellent communication skills, along with the perseverance to solve problems that may not have obvious solutions. You may need to "Think out of the box" or "hack around" a problem to solve it. We like that!
You Will
5. Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers
6. Manage, direct, and prioritize projects
7. Maintain our technical relationship with our technology partners
8. Be aware of the latest cloud, data and software technology trends and look for opportunities for these trends to help grow our business
9. Provide training on core technology and services
10. Collaborate with leads in other regions to understand to keep a pulse on technical developments and provide resource capacity
11. Build innovative tools to address compelling commercial use cases that are valuable to our clients and that help grow our business
12. Write technical documentation and provide training on the tools we build to other engineers and account managers across the globe
13. Provide solutions engineering services along the lines of data integration, platform migration, workflow and process automation and technical architecture consulting.
14. Provide technical guidance on complex platform and implementation issues
Qualifications & Experience
15. Exceptional leadership, project management, analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
16. Current architecture and data engineering certifications for GCP (or being ready to pass these before joining the company)
17. Experience with Cloud based Data Engineering and ETL solutions
18. Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
19. Excellent Python and Node.js coding skills
20. Able to speak confidently about solutions to peers and other engineers
21. Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical people
22. Ability to prioritize a number of projects and collaborate across technical teams of different disciplines.
Bonus Points
23. Experience deploying to AWS, Azure and other Cloud Platforms
24. Experience with terraform or similar “infrastructure as code” solutions
25. Familiarity with GMP, GA360 and Adobe cloud services
26. Knowledge of non-GMP site side product, tagging, analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, Tealium, Segment Amplitude)
27. Previous sales, support, consulting, or biz dev experience
