The Role

Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality Podiatry care to patient of the [specify unit/team/facility] consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.
Where You'll be Working
Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. POWH provides an exceptional staff experience and enhanced patient and family outcomes as a result of the provision of person-centred care.

Selection Criteria
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.
* Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated core competency skills in wound care, diabetes, biomechanics, partial and total nail avulsion surgery, general podiatry assessment and management and foot care education.
* Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience
* Computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems
* Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning
