A market leading Tier 2 contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator to join their growing business in Melbourne.
You will be responsible for quantity surveying, materials take-offs and design to allow pricing on preliminary design information including prepare and present bid information as part of review and tender presentations.
They work across engineering and remediation type of projects which are generally Civil, Infrastructure / Utilities, SMP, Piping, Fuel, Water Infrastructure and Defence in nature, from smaller up to $25m but may be $100m+, experience with similar projects in these sectors or similar across buildings and infrastructure will be an advantage.
Years of experience: 5 to 10 years+
Responsibilities
* Assemble scope of works and request for tender documentation
* Conduct site visits (remote and interstate sites)
* Conduct commercial, risk and profitability reviews
* Provide detailed tender handover documentation
* Create pricing models
Qualifications and Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or similar
* Minimum 5 to 10 years+ experience in a similar role
* Experience in Bid Management and preparation of tender documentation
* Understanding of Risk Management
* Experience in the remediation sector and/or Defence is highly beneficial
* A strong commercial acumen
* Ability to work part of a team as well as autonomously
* High level of organisation and time management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Well-developed interpersonal skills
* Experience with Microsoft Office suite & MS Project
* Superior knowledge using Primavera P6
* Construction Safety Induction (white/blue) card
* Driver Licence
* Ability to obtain a clear Police Check
