About the Role
Rowlee Dining and Bar is seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team in Orange, NSW. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a brand-new, vibrant venue that celebrates the very best of local produce and Rowlee Wines. As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef and leading our kitchen team to deliver unforgettable dining experiences.
What You'll Be Doing Collaborating with the Head Chef on menu planning, recipe development, and maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation. Supervising and inspiring the kitchen team, ensuring a smooth and efficient service. Maintaining rigorous quality control and food safety standards. Mentoring and training junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence. Assisting with inventory management, ordering, and ensuring cost controls are in place. Bringing creativity to the development and execution of new menu items and seasonal specials. Contributing to a positive, collaborative, and high-energy kitchen environment. What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership role, preferably within a premium or regional dining setting. A strong foundation in modern Australian cuisine, with a passion for showcasing local and seasonal produce. Exceptional leadership, communication, and time management skills. Proven ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards. A genuine love for creating innovative, delicious, and visually stunning dishes. Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality Management. Current Food Safety Supervisor certification. What We Offer A competitive salary package.
