Finance Analyst (Level 6) – 4–5 Month Opportunity

Are you a finance professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for supporting operational teams?
We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organised and finance-savvy individual to join the Parks and Natural Environment team as a Finance Analyst (Level 6) for a short-term role of approximately 4–5 months.

Key Responsibilities:
Collate, monitor and review operational and capital budgets.
Prepare accurate, timely financial reports and variance analysis.
Provide financial advice and support to managers, coordinators and internal stakeholders.
Assist with project costing, procurement processes and grant reporting.
Improve financial systems, processes and reporting methods.
Liaise with Financial Services to ensure compliance and alignment with city protocols.
About You:
Robust skills in budgeting, financial analysis and reporting.
Proficiency with Excel and financial systems (e.g. Finance One).
Knowledge of accounting principles and costing methodologies.
Great communication, time management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or related field – or equivalent relevant experience.
