Position
Exhibitions Production Assistant
Responsibilities
* Support the Curatorial team in the planning and presentation of short and long-term collection displays, including preparation, installation, and maintenance of exhibitions and displays.
* Report to the Exhibitions Lead and work closely with the Exhibitions Production Officer, the Curatorial Officer (Exhibitions), and the gallery team of exhibition installation casuals during installation programs.
* Work hands-on across the Gallery floor and in back-of-house technical, preparation, and collection storage areas, and undertake desk-based administration tasks.
* Apply strong attention to detail, solution-focused problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently under instruction.
* Demonstrate sound knowledge of exhibition production, art handling, and gallery equipment; experience with technical and audio-visual equipment is advantageous.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in exhibition production and art handling preferred.
* Ability to work in a hands-on gallery environment with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of gallery equipment and optional experience with technical/AV systems.
