Continuing our tradition of excellence in girls' education, Melbourne Girls Grammar empowers students with the literacy skills to thrive and lead in an ever-changing digital world. We are seeking a knowledgeable, proactive, and collaborative Library Technician to join our Learning Technologies Department (Library Services Team) in the Nina Crone Library.
About the role
This role plays a key part in maintaining high-quality library resources and creating a welcoming, dynamic environment that encourages students and staff to engage with our programs and spaces. Graduating and early career Library Technicians are encouraged to apply.
This is an ongoing part-time role, working three days per week on the following roster:
Key responsibilities include:
* Administering and managing the Library Management System and its online interface
* Cataloguing print and digital collections
* Assisting with management of collections including tagging, covering, repairing, shelving, stock take and weeding
* Circulation Desk duties including attending to loans, reservations, records and queries
* Preparation of physical and virtual displays

This position is based onsite at our Merton Hall Campus, 86 Anderson Street, South Yarra—right across from the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens.
