About the role 
We are seeking a Supervising Scientist to join our team at Healius. This role combines supervising staff with hands-on laboratory work. 
Responsibilities 
- Supervise a laboratory with a small team of medical scientists in a multi-disciplinary setting (Biochemistry, Haematology/Coagulation, Stat Micro and Andrology). 
- Prioritise workflow to meet client requirements. 
- Ensure results are released within agreed turnaround times. 
- Liaise with senior staff and Pathologists regarding unusual and abnormal results. 
- Oversee management of laboratory equipment, ensuring maintenance and timely servicing as required. 
- Review and update laboratory documentation as required. 
About you 
To be considered, you will have: 
- Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) or other AIMS-accredited equivalent degree. 
- At least 2 years’ experience in a multi-disciplinary scientific role. 
- Solid interpersonal skills to build meaningful partnerships. 
- Experience working under tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks within set timelines. 
- Results-oriented with proactive problem-solving abilities. 
- Ability to prioritise and organise competing tasks to meet deadlines. 
- Highest levels of confidentiality and integrity.
