Our client, a leading company in the oil and gas storage industry, are seeking a Compliance Manager to join our SHECQ & Sustainability team in Sydney. You'll get the chance to demonstrate your comprehensive knowledge of SHE regulations and use your experience in the chemical and fuel industry to help them maintain high standards of compliance.
As the Compliance Manager, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Showcase your skills by promoting a positive SHE culture and harm prevention
- Take part in monthly safety observation rounds
- Ensure all activities are compliant with local SHE legislations and regulations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new SHE requirements
- Lead the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures
- Direct environmental programs like air or water compliance, spill prevention, or hazardous waste management
- Participate in preparing for SHE-related events
To be considered for this role, you should have a degree in Engineering or Setting Science (preferred) or similar, a comprehensive knowledge of SHE regulatory compliance, experience in a major hazard facility environment highly regarded, but not essential. If you have experience as a compliance or regulatory manager in NSW, that's a plus!You should also have strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate and coach other team members and stakeholders. Your ability to solve complex problems using analytical and planning skills will be critical in this role.
