We are seeking a skilled and experienced Drill Fitter to join our team at our mining operations in Western Australia.
This ongoing, long-term project work offers both full-time and casual positions. Local candidates or FIFO personnel from Perth can apply. The roster is an 8:6 day shift arrangement.
The Role
As a key member of the maintenance services team, your primary responsibility will be to assist project staff with daily business activities associated with equipment servicing on site.
This role would suit someone with a strong commitment to safety, training, and environmental practices. Good communication and organizational skills are essential, with a focus on teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
* Servicing custom-built high-reach drill rigs across various models, including Kato SR300L and Kato KR25H-V6 crane chassis, Sandvik DX800R remote control drill rigs, Vermeer directional drills, and Manitou MTX-1840-A telehandlers with work platforms.
* Maintaining and servicing ancillary light vehicles, LV trailers, heavy support trucks, mobile air compressors, shotcrete, and grout machines.
* Providing technical guidance and field service support to operations personnel.
* Training and supporting other employees within the organization.
* Liaising with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers regarding technical issues and parts requisitions.
* Conducting on-hire/off-hire inspections of equipment.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you must have:
* A HR Driver's Licence.
* A Drill Fitter Trade Certificate.
* A working knowledge of Sandvik and Epiroc top hammer drilling equipment.
* The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment.
* The ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
* A working knowledge of Crane Carriers.
* A High Risk Work Licence - HRWL - DG (Dogman) or RB (Rigging).
