What's the role?
As Senior Manager, Quality Assurance, you'll lead a team of specialists within our Quality Assurance & Enablement function, based in Parramatta, NSW. This full-time role sits at the heart of Westpac's financial crime risk operations, where you'll oversee the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our QA framework across key areas including sanctions, customer due diligence (CDD), transaction monitoring, and law enforcement notices.
You'll be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and consistency of assurance activities, providing strategic insights to senior stakeholders, and driving a culture of excellence and accountability. You'll also play a key role in coaching and developing your team, managing offshore service partners, and collaborating across financial crime operations to uplift performance and reduce risk. If you're passionate about leading change, simplifying processes, and delivering meaningful outcomes, this one is for you.
What do I need?
We're looking for someone who's confident, capable, and ready to lead with purpose. You'll bring:
* Strong experience in financial crime compliance, especially in sanctions, customer due diligence (CDD), and government notices.
* Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and performance uplift.
* Sharp analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
* A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills, knowing how to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
A passion for continuous improvement, with experience in QA frameworks, process design, and operational efficiency.
