Downer's Energy and Utilities business unit has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to support the ANZ business.
The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team to develop and implement improved cash and working capital reporting, processes, and controls.
This role will involve daily and weekly cash reporting, tracking of cash and working capital balances, and actively engaging with BU finance teams to provide insights on cash and working capital trends.
The analyst will also assist with the development of reporting templates to improve the tracking, managing, and forecasting of operating cash inflows, outflows, working capital balances, and capital expenditure at a contract level across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
* Daily and weekly cash reporting and the tracking of cash and working capital balances across the E&U business.
* Actively engaging and partnering with BU finance teams across Australia and New Zealand to provide insights on cash and working capital trends including risks and opportunities.
* Assisting with the development of reporting templates to improve the tracking, managing, and forecasting of operating cash inflows, outflows, working capital balances, and capital expenditure at a contract level across the business.
* Reporting, reconciling, and providing insight on monthly operational cash, working capital balances, and CAPEX to management and relevant head office finance teams.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Tertiary level qualification in Accounting or Commerce.
4+ years' experience in accounting, treasury, or business analysis within a medium or large commercial firm or accounting practice.
Proven experience in Excel analysis, data consolidation, and reporting, and use of reporting systems.
Prior experience in working capital, cash, and CAPEX reporting and forecasting is highly regarded.
Significant exposure to ERP systems (JDE, SAP, or Oracle preferred).
