We are seeking an experienced Finance & Admin Officer to support our busy team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Accounts Receivable tasks: customer invoicing, bank reconciliation, contacting customers, debt collection, AR reports, customer contracts and works agreements, raise jobs, internal weekly meetings, company searches, ad hoc reports and tasks.
- Accounts Payable tasks: supplier bill processing, statement reconciliation, payment batches, supplier enquiries, credit card transaction processing, seek approvals, maintain Excel reports, registers and schedules, ad hoc reports and tasks.
- Payroll tasks: processing of weekly payroll, timesheet review and processing, employee contract preparation, superannuation payments, workcover and payroll tax reporting and compliance, monthly reporting, confidential letter preparation, and ad hoc payroll tasks and reporting.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of payroll legislation
- Experience in the commercial or residential building industry would be an advantage.
- Well-developed communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and demonstrate flexibility in dealing with competing demands
- Demonstrated advanced computing skills including the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly the use of spreadsheets as well as Email, Internet and other Financial applications (Xero)
- Ability to exercise judgment and work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Organised approach to work and demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Self-motivation and the ability to work as part of a cohesive team
- Have a positive attitude and good skills in building positive working relationships with a wide range of people
