Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the day-to-day management of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
* Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and refine the menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and local produce.
* Ensure all food safety and health regulations are followed in accordance with industry standards.
* Lead by example and assist with food prep, cooking, plating, and service during peak hours.
* Maintain inventory control and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
* Support in managing kitchen staff schedules and training new team members.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Passion for food with an eye for detail and a commitment to culinary excellence.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
* Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
