Location: Mount Isa, Queensland Health, North West HHS
Employment: Permanent | Full-Time
Salary: $132,562 - $143,924 p.a. + generous incentives
Start date: From 28/07/2025
The Position
As the Clinical Midwife Consultant, you'll provide expert guidance to maternity teams, helping to embed best-practice, woman-centred care aligned with national standards and local priorities.
You'll support service improvement, lead capability-building activities, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure that maternity services are culturally responsive and grounded in respect, safety and equity.

What we're looking for
AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife (essential)
A relevant tertiary degree in midwifery; Postgraduate qualification (or working towards) in a related area (desirable)
Proven leadership in clinical midwifery practice and service development
Willingness to travel within the health service region
Valid C Class Driver's Licence
Note: This is a VPD risk role and compliance with vaccination requirements will be necessary.
