Research Fellow in Astronomy and Astrophysics
Seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to undertake cutting-edge research in galaxy formation science using ALMA data. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team within the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the Australian National University.
Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Fellow will lead by example in developing and maintaining effective, productive, and beneficial workplace relationships with academic and professional staff, students, and other stakeholders. They will undertake high-impact research in the areas of galaxy formation science and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct original research in galaxy formation science using ALMA data
* Lead by example in workplace relationships and collaboration
* Develop and maintain effective communication and interaction skills
Required Qualifications and Skills:
A PhD in astronomy and astrophysics or a related area is essential. A strong track record of articulating and prosecuting innovative research in the field of astronomy is also required. Excellent oral and written English language skills are necessary for effective communication and interaction.
