About the Role
As a Job Coach – Hospitality, you'll be right there on the ground, supporting people with disability to succeed at work.
Not by doing the job for them, but by walking alongside them as they learn, grow, and build independence.
Some days that looks like:
* Helping someone feel confident walking into their shift
* Breaking down tasks so they feel achievable
* Celebrating the moment they do something independently for the first time
Other days, it's:
* Supporting a team during a busy service
* Working with chefs and venue leaders to make sure everyone can succeed
* Noticing what's working, what's not, and adjusting in real time
It's practical, people-focused, and full of small wins that add up to something big.
Who This Role Is Perfect For
You don't need to have done this exact job before. But you do need to:
* Care deeply about people and what they're capable of
* Be patient, calm, and encouraging under pressure
* Be practical, you can break things down and explain them clearly
* Be reliable, you show up, and others can count on you
* Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment (hospitality experience is a bonus)
* Hospitality industry experience is beneficial but not essential for this position
* Hold a valid driver's licence and have access to a reliable vehicle
Our team works across multiple sites in Canberra, so being able to travel between locations and support employees to get to and from shifts is an essential part of the role.
