Job Title: Emergency Medicine Consultants

This is a high-level leadership role that involves providing medical services to patients in an Emergency Department (ED). The ED is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive, effective and efficient emergency and medical care to patients in the ED.
- Provide leadership to the clinical team and facilitate effective clinical review mechanisms and quality improvement processes.
- Contribute to continuing education programs within the ED.
- Develop and deliver relevant teaching programs for medical officers and other staff attached to the Department.
- Assist in establishing an ED training hub with a reputation for high training standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification;
- Registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration in Emergency Medicine (FACEM);
- Proven track record of experience in clinical emergency medicine, in a setting comparable to an Australian Emergency Department;
- High level of skill in professional judgement and clinical competence;
- Strong negotiation and communication skills within a multidisciplinary setting;
- Experience in the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
