We are a soon to open firearms and accessories retailer based on the Sunshine Coast. We’re building the region’s most trusted firearms hub, offering a wide product range and expert advice. With a strong focus on professionalism, compliance, and community, we support both new shooters and experienced firearms owners through every stage of their journey. 
We’re looking for firearms retail team members to join our store. These are customer-facing retail roles you’ll be helping customers choose firearms and accessories, answering questions, and supporting day-to-day shop operations. 
While these roles are casual to start, there will likely be opportunities for some positions to transition to full time roles in the short term. 
Responsibilities 
- Serving customers 
- Handling transactions 
- Restocking shelves 
- Answering phone calls 
- Receiving deliveries 
- Packing items for shipping 
- Helping monitor stock levels 
- Supporting occasional in-store events 
- Opening and closing procedures 
- Adhering to strict legislative compliance requirements 
Key Selection Criteria 
What You Need 
Essential: 
- A current Queensland firearms licence 
- High standards of customer service, communication and a courteous attitude 
- Ability to follow strict compliance and safety procedures 
Desirable 
We’re looking to build a team with a range of strengths. For example, depending on your interest, there may also be opportunities for staff to contribute to training workshops, assist with social media content creation or take on gunsmithing work. The following skills are desirable but not required, you might have one, a few, or none at all: 
- Retail or customer service experience 
- Gunsmithing or armoury experience 
- Content creation skills, such as photography, social media, or experience using Instagram and Facebook (Meta) 
- Experience with Canva, Photoshop, video editing 
- Digital marketing 
- Ecommerce or IT experience 
- Vocational Educational Training (VET) experience

- You’re open to developing new skills or contributing your existing expertise 
- You have a genuine interest in firearms and a willingness to learn more 
Qualifications 
Essential: 
A current valid Queensland firearms licence 
Desirable: 
- FaDR Experience 
- As per key selection criteria
