How will I help?
Join our Consumer, Business & Wealth Marketing Analytics (CBW MA) team and play a pivotal role in supporting and advising our Marketing partners on customer-targeted initiatives through proactive direct marketing and digital channels. This role will strengthen Westpac’s information and analytical approach, providing our mortgage business partners and customers with self-serve information, efficient outputs, and effective execution.
Key Responsibilities:
o Extract, manipulate, and analyse data for customer communications using Teradata SQL and in-house campaign management tools.
o Develop a detailed understanding of Westpac databases, data structures, and core analytical procedures.
o Present optimisation results to stakeholders, outlining key findings and suggestions for improvement.
o Develop and present new options for clients to leverage data and analytics capabilities.
o Suggest and implement improvements through standardisation, speed, simplicity, or automation of analysis/data or campaign processes.
o Complete and secure stakeholder sign-off for campaign data briefs and perform QA for team analysts.
o Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
What do I need?
o Advanced SQL skills are essential.
o Experience with large scale RBDMS, with Teradata preferred.
o Experience with campaign management software such as SAS MA / MO Teradata is desirable.
o Proficiency in most MS Applications.
o R / Python programming experience is highly desirable.
o Experience in direct marketing or lead management and customer targeting is desirable.
o Knowledge of customer contact management principles is desirable.
o Extensive knowledge of various analytics and problem-solving techniques.
o In-depth knowledge of the banking and finance industry is desirable.
o Understanding of marketing processes and procedures including marketing and data briefs is desirable.
o Familiarity with database marketing principles and practices is desirable.
o Experience with Scrum Agile methodology.
o A degree in a relevant area such as IT, Maths, Statistics, Econometrics, Marketing Information Systems, or Finance.
