Helensvale State School is looking for a dynamic school leader to join our team in 2026. The Deputy Principal Special Ediucation Services role has been developed to cater for our growing population of diverse learners. Our team is dedicated to creating an environment that is supportive, inclusive and ensures that all children feel a strong sense of belonging.
Our 2025 AIP has been provided for your consideration. This will give you a guide to the improvement agenda that we have undertaken this year. It will also provide you with the opportunity to reflect on Helensvale State Schools' journey and how you could then project your contribution to our improvement agenda in 2026 and beyond.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the school special education program (SEP)) to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision
focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
