A newly created role, the Technical Support Specialist will provide expert technical advice, diagnostic assistance, and product support to customers, distributors, and internal teams.
You're a qualified Automotive Mechanic with strong knowledge of braking systems and vehicle dynamics, capable of delivering professional technical support, identifying product issues, and contributing to continuous product and service improvement. The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive technical support, foster user engagement, and ensure a smooth customer experience.
Working collaboratively with Product Managers, Customer Service and Sales teams you will deliver:
* Technical Support: Provide professional technical assistance to customers, workshops, and distributors via phone, email, and in‐person (diagnosing and resolving product and/or fitment issues)
* Product Knowledge & Development: Test and evaluate new braking components, providing feedback on field performance and product enhancements.
* Training & Communication: Develop and deliver technical training sessions, webinars, and installation guides for customers and internal teams.
* Support marketing and BDMs: Provide technical content for promotional and educational materials.
* Customer Service & Warranty Support: Assess and process warranty claims in accordance with DBA policy and technical standards. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through timely, accurate, empathetic, and professional technical assistance.
Occasional travel to customer sites, trade events or training sessions and hands‐on work with braking components for installation, testing, or demonstration purposes will be part of the role.

* Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent recognised trade qualification) and a current Motor Mechanic Licence (essential).
* Post‐trade experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, ideally with exposure to braking systems.
* Previous working background in providing technical support, product support, or warranty assessment experience (advantageous).
* Strong diagnostic and analytical skills, particularly in braking performance issues.
* Sound understanding of mechanical and hydraulic brake systems, ABS, and electronic braking components.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non‐technical audiences.
* Computer literacy, including diagnostic software, and MS Office suite.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace.
