Project Manager - Integration Project - 12 month contract
Your new company
Our client is a leading manufacturer of trucks, buses, construction equipment, and marine and industrial engines. They are looking for a Project Manager for an integration project for an initial 12 month contract with ongoing potential.
Your new role
* Lead and coordinate all activities under IT Track for the integration project, ensuring alignment with global Volvo standards and local requirements.
* Act as the primary point of contact between local teams, global IT governance, Global MSP, and other stakeholders.
* Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of LAN, WAN, wireless LAN, MyPlace 365, printing, user hardware, and support streams.
* Manage the setup and transition of legacy applications, including coordination of Citrix/security zones and transitional workshop applications.
* Support business analysis for local applications and ensure smooth handover to Global MSP and other business teams.
* Coordinate all local ICT project activities under IT Track as part of integration project, including hardware procurement, network setup, and user onboarding.
* Liaise with local vendors and partners for hardware and cabling as needed.
* Ensure compliance with Volvo/HCL standards for infrastructure and user services.
* Ensure cyber security mitigation is in place where applicable
* Facilitate communication and reporting between local and global teams, including executive board updates.
* Support the local steering committee and ensure project milestones are met.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience in ICT project management, preferably in large-scale integration or migration projects.
* Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, wireless LAN, end-user computing, Security and application migration (including Citrix environments).
* Experience coordinating with global IT teams, vendors, and local partners.
* Excellent communication, presentation skills, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
* Excellent presentation skills and ability to present project requirements to project steering committee on a regular basis
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with business analysis for application portfolios and transitional IT environments.
* Good understanding and experience with PMP (or similar ) and ITIL frameworks
* Experience managing projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, with the ability to select and adapt the approach based on project needs.
