Details: As Directorate Liaison Officer (DLO) you are required to facilitate and support direct communications and policy advice between the Directorate and the Minister's Office, and as necessary other directorates and Ministers' Offices. You will provide high level specialist assistance and leadership in matters relating to Cabinet, the Legislative Assembly, constituent meetings and functions. You may also provide advice and support in relation to the coordination of Whole of Government matters.
The advertised role will support the Attorney-General and Minister for Human Rights portfolios.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
* Experience with digital records management systems is highly desirable.
* Experience and understanding of ACT Government Cabinet, Assembly, and machinery of government processes is highly desirable.
* This position may require the successful applicant to either hold or be able to obtain a baseline security clearance.
* To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
* If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
Notes: This is a temporary position available for a period of 12 months. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
This position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.
Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
