**The Opportunity - About the Role**
We are currently looking for a Quality Superintendent with a can-do attitude to join our team based in Melbourne. This role will provide quality assurance support across the built form project portfolio.
Reporting to the Regional Project Manager, you will be engaged across our VIC portfolio, as well as for WA. There will be regular travel between sites and interstate. It will require ongoing attendance at all sites for general quality inspections and at key construction milestones to review quality of delivery.
**Key Responsibilities Will Include**
- Attend sites at key construction milestones to review quality of construction
- Review Private Certifier reports provided by the Stockland Project Manager and attend site to undertake spot checks of contractor rectification
- Provide written report (simple format) to Stockland Project Manager and building contractor detailing building quality issues/defects identified throughout the construction for rectification.
- Support the Project Managers and/or Consultant on site to identify defects and OHS issues in accordance with relevant standards
- Work directly with the building contractors and their subcontractors to improve quality outcomes on Stockland projects including conducting prestart workshops with nominated subcontractors
- Assist in identifying skill gaps and provision of training to Project Managers relating to quality
- Contribute to the Quality and OHS strategy through participation in working groups as directed by the GM
**About You**
- Minimum 15 years built-form experience in a site supervisory capacity
- Strong on-the-tools experience highly desirable
- Demonstrable practical understanding of the requirements of the National Code of Construction, Australian Standards, manufacturers installation guidelines and any other relevant statutory standards and/or guidelines
- An energetic and can-do attitude with the ability to drive better outcomes
- Superb communication and stakeholders' engagement skills
- A customer centric focus ensuring that the best quality outcome is achieved
