We're seeking a casual Cook in Berry, NSW to cater for large school groups, corporate events, and daily onsite meals in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Onsite parking provided.
THE POSITION:
Assist with preparation, bulk cooking, and presentation of meals to a consistently high standard across a variety of group settings
Cater for large school groups, corporate functions, and general day-to-day guests
Ensure meals meet dietary requirements and allergen controls, especially when catering for children
Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and presentation in line with HACCP and internal guidelines
Monitor food costs through effective portion control, waste minimisation, and stock management
Support the ongoing development of healthy menu options and nutritional awareness
Monday to Friday
THE PERSON:
Food Safety Supervisor certification (highly regarded)
Proven experience in bulk or high-volume cooking environments
Solid understanding of allergen management and dietary needs, particularly in settings involving children
Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with both junior and senior kitchen staff
Passionate about fresh, café-style food with an eye for quality and presentation
Sound knowledge of food safety standards, OH&S; practices, and kitchen compliance requirements
Must be able to obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check and National Police Check
