About the Role
WorkPac are seeking a Production Manager for our client, a leading manufacturer in the civil construction sector, to oversee daily operations at their Echuca site. The successful candidate will supervise the site team to ensure safe, sustainable, and cost-effective production. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in concrete, civil construction, or building materials who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a site-based production team to meet safety, production, and quality targets
* Promote and enforce safety culture, including PPE compliance and hazard awareness
* Drive daily production schedules and coordinate resources effectively
* Ensure accurate record-keeping of output, downtime, reject/rework, and team performance
* Communicate goals and expectations clearly across multiple work groups
* Liaise with internal departments (QA, HR, Operations) to ensure cohesive operations
* Supervise the maintenance and correct use of moulds, materials, and plant assets
* Monitor product quality, ensure compliance with procedures, and raise NCRs where required
* Identify and support suitable duties for injured workers returning to work
* Participate in toolbox talks, workgroup meetings, and employee coaching initiatives
Skills and Experience Required
* Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the concrete, civil, or building industry
* Strong understanding of OH&S practices with demonstrated commitment to safety leadership
* Previous experience in prestressed, precast, or reinforced concrete production
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with internal systems and the MS Suite
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and develop teams
* Tickets for overhead cranes, machinery operation, and First Aid qualifications (desirable)
