About The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse / Midwife to join our friendly team
At Frances Perry we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients in the special care nursery. We operate a 14 bedded special care nursery caring for patients from 31 weeks gestation. We provide CPAP and High flow when required for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing/midwifery care for newborns requiring specialised or transitional care.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with the medical and allied health team.
* Provide family-centred care, supporting and educating parents throughout their infant's SCN journey.
* Monitor and manage infants requiring oxygen therapy, phototherapy, IV therapy, and nasogastric feeding.
* Safely prepare and administer medications, including IV infusions, in accordance with policy.
* Participate in clinical handover, documentation, and care planning to ensure continuity of care.
* Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold infection prevention standards.
* Support orientation and education of students and junior staff.
* Work collaboratively with the birthing suite, maternity, and paediatric teams to facilitate safe transfers and continuity of care.
About You
You are a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse or Midwife with a passion for neonatal care. You demonstrate clinical competence, strong communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork and continuous learning.
Essential Criteria:
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife.
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
* Recent experience in neonatal/ SCN care
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to providing family-centred, evidence-based care.
* Availability to work across a rotating 7-day roster essential.
Desirable:
* Postgraduate qualification or working towards in Neonatal Care or Child & Family Health.
* Neonatal resuscitation and IV cannulation/medication certification.
* Experience in Special Care or Level 2 neonatal unit.
* Cpap and High flow trained
