Cleaning Supervisor

At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners - from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.

* Multiple Temporary Full-Time until March 2026 with opportunity for ongoing
* Located across the Hunter Central Coast region with flexible working arrangements available
* Salary ranging from $99,938 to $ 110,273 + super and annual leave loading

About the role

A temporary team has been established to deliver an enhanced Whole-of-Government cleaning contract for alignment and delivery of all program streams.

Be part of a newly established team in Insourcing, that will support the delivery of a government initiative.

The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for delivering a full range of cleaning and facilities services across a portfolio of sites within the assigned Asset Management region. The position ensures that daily cleaning operations are effectively managed so that all sites consistently meet required cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in line with organisational policies, cleaning standards, and relevant legislation. It also oversees the implementation of cleaning management services and programmed works to support high-quality, professional service delivery.

About you -

As our ideal candidate you will have:

* Empowering leadership traits to develop, guide and support a newly established team.
* Excellent attention to detail, delivering quality service.
* Demonstrated experience in compliance monitoring, quality control, or a similar role within cleaning or facilities services. Exceptional communication skills with proficiency in technology, ensuring communication is tailored to various audiences.
* The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

* Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
