Optimizing Commercial Performance
SYSTRA is seeking an experienced professional to join their contracts and commercial team in Sydney. The successful candidate will play a vital role in optimizing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring all contractual and financial matters are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
* Key Responsibilities:
1. Contractual Expertise: Utilize extensive knowledge of contracts and commercial administration to provide crucial support to delivery teams throughout the lifecycle of clients' data centre developments.
2. Purchase Order Management: Take ownership of the purchase order process, from raising and generating purchase orders to tracking and facilitating approvals from both internal and external stakeholders.
3. Cost Management: Serve as a super user for cost management systems, championing the process and collaborating with development teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and timely approval of purchase orders.
4. Contract Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with Contracts Managers to oversee all aspects of contract lifecycles, including project kick-off, delivery, and close-out, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key communicator between internal and external stakeholders on contract and financial matters related to clients' projects.
6. Payment Coordination: Coordinate payments between development and finance teams to ensure contractors are paid in accordance with contract payment terms.
7. Reporting and Metrics: Assist in developing and implementing reporting tools to measure key contract metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Proven track record of successfully supporting projects in contracts or commercial roles, particularly in complex construction or civil environments.
* Qualifications in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Business/Commerce.
* Demonstrate high attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate results.
* Exhibit strong collaboration skills, ability to work resourcefully, and communicate clearly and concisely with teams to meet project requirements and timelines.
