Chef – Remote Northern Territory | Immediate Start
Ready for a true outback adventure while doing what you love? We're looking for an experienced and motivated Chef to join a unique, very remote venue in the Northern Territory. This multi-service venue includes on-site motel accommodation, restaurant, bar, shop and fuel outlets, making it a central hub for travellers. If you enjoy a hands-on kitchen and don't mind swapping city traffic for big skies and wide-open spaces, this could be the perfect role.
The Role
You'll be working in a busy kitchen preparing quality meals. The menu features high-end bistro-style dishes alongside popular takeaway options and short-order favourites.
* Preparing and cooking à la carte meals
* Short-order cooking – fried foods, burgers, wraps, sandwiches and grab-and-go items
* Assisting with catering and service periods
* Working across all areas of the kitchen with a strong focus on grill work
* Maintaining high food presentation standards
* Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant
* Supporting the team with prep, dishwashing and general kitchen duties
* Taking direction from the Head Chef
* Working a mix of shifts, primarily day shifts with some nights when required
Package (Casual Level 3)
* $33.38/hr Monday–Friday
* $40.05/hr Saturday
* $46.73/hr Sunday
* Accommodation & Meals: $150 per week
What We're Looking For
* Highly organised with a strong work ethic
* Current Food Handlers Certificate
* Ability to work well within a team
* Comfortable with remote living and working
* A chef who is hands-on, adaptable and reliable
The Kitchen
The venue serves quality bistro-style meals along with a range of bakery-style takeaway items, using par-baked products finished fresh in-house.
Location & Lifestyle
Telstra mobile coverage only
Access via regular flights or sealed roads
Staff perks include use of the swimming pool and mini staff gym
