We are seeking a talented individual to join our Energy & Power and Casualty Team at Marsh Risk as a Technical Claims Advocate working in our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane office. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
* Provide detailed threshold coverage analysis and strategic advice on incident response and claim notification for complex claims.
* Perform factual analyses of new incidents to identify issues of characterization, coverage, exclusions and develop strategies that optimise client outcomes.
* Deliver point‐in‐time reviews and tailored claim strategies that guide and reassure clients and internal teams.
* Manage urgent, media‐sensitive or litigated large‐loss matters, formulating action plans to minimise client loss and maximise insurance coverage.
* Support claims operations advisors and attend meetings with insurers, clients and legal counsel; participate in post‐loss meetings and contribute to RFPs and marketing materials.
Qualifications
* Strong background in insurance with hands‐on claims experience across ISR, Contract Works and Casualty / Liability lines of business.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong customer‐service orientation.
* Proven ability to coordinate and maintain productive relationships with brokers, claim handlers, underwriters, external experts and legal counsel.
* Ability to work autonomously, prioritise multiple work streams, and provide mentorship/support to operations staff.
