Award/Classification
Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award, Assistant in Nursing, Grade 1 Nurse. Salary: $66,935 to $73,138 per annum.
Role
The AIN works under the direction and supervision of an RN or Midwife and may be supported and supervised by an EN. They are responsible for ensuring the delegated activity is within the educational capability and competence of their individual scope of practice, and are accountable for the care they deliver as delegated by the RN or Midwife.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrated knowledge and skills in patient/client care, with an ability to assist patients/clients to meet their personal care needs and perform activities of daily living as required.
* Ability to work as an effective team member in the professional health care team environment.
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and numeracy skills.
Qualifications
Essential criteria:
* Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care)
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing Specialisation)
Desirable criteria:
* Current First Aid Certificate
