Overview
Real Pet Food Company (RPF) is looking for confident and enthusiastic Machine Operators to join our Liver Processing team at the Somersby Manufacturing Site. This role handles raw protein (red meat) in a wet manufacturing environment. The position offers a great work-life balance with Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 2:00 pm shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating a slicer and other related equipment
- Monitoring production processes
- Loading and feeding raw materials (Liver)
- Performing quality checks
- Working on the production lines as well as within a cool room
- Troubleshooting issues that may arise
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Working with raw materials
- Some heavy lifting
Skills & Experience
- Must pass our Pre-Employment Medical and have the capability and strength to lift up to 20 kg
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Hold a current and valid Forklift Licence (Preferred)
- Experience within machine operating – preferably with food manufacturing production lines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Must be willing to perform general warehouse tasks daily
- Ability to maintain production logs
- Experience working within a butchery or abattoir will be viewed positively
