QLM is Australia's leading innovative and service driven label and flexible packaging manufacturer and we are looking for an 1st or 2nd Year Printing Apprentice to join our team based in Moorabbin.
As a Flexographic Printing Apprentice with QLM, you play a crucial role in the Production department by ensuring the efficient operation of the printing press's. Your contribution directly impacts the company's success by maintaining high-quality production standards and meeting output targets.
As a Flexographic Printing Apprentice:
* you will be trained in all aspects of flexographic printing, including how to:
o Assist with operating printing and finishing machinery
o Mount plates, mix inks and wash up printing units
o Prepare materials for print runs
o Load and unload raw material rolls
o Inspect printed rolls for quality, accuracy, and consistency
o Assist with rewinding, counting, and packing completed jobs
o Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
o Follow job instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures
You'll work in a hands-on manufacturing environment, supported by experienced operators, supervisors, and mentors.
What we are looking for:
* We're looking for someone who has:
o A genuine interest in learning a trade or building a long-term career in manufacturing, and has already started their journey
o Experience in a flexographic printing environment
o A willingness to learn, ask questions, and take direction
o Good attention to detail and pride in doing quality work
o Reliability, punctuality, and a team-focused attitude
o Comfort working on your feet and handling materials in organised work environment
o Following safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Excellent Working Conditions:
* Full time: permanent 40 hour week
