The Role:


Wedding & Event Planners at Gabbinbar are responsible for the planning and delivery of seamless, memorable weddings and celebrations at the venue.

Due to the nature of weddings, the Wedding and Event Planner position will require the availability to work a 7-day roster and you will be required to regularly work weekends and some evenings.

This is a fixed-term contract, full time position with an initial six-month review period.


Key Responsibilities


Wedding & Event Planning:

Planning and management of weddings/events including but not limited to:

* Detailed correspondence with clients, vendors and internal teams
* Logistics
* Administration duties
* Styling coordination
* Venue preparation
* Leadership on allocated weddings and events
* Sales and general administrative support.

Wedding & Event Coordinator:

On a wedding day; assist with events set up alongside another wedding planner, liaise with vendors, manage wedding formalities and support food and beverage service delivery. When allocated on roster, hours usually vary between 11am - 9pm:

* Coordinate tasks as required for the event in line with the run sheet e.g. fireworks, cake cutting, etc
* Logistics
* Styling coordination
* Venue preparation
* Leadership on allocated weddings and events
* Strong understanding of Wedding and Event Details prior to shift commencement
* Provide clear and precise delegation of duties to staff in a respectful manner and follow up on their progress. Ensuring efficient workflow
* Facilitate a positive working culture
* Provide exceptional service to our clients and their guests
* Facilitate on the job training and development with team
* Discuss and resolve problems as they occur
* Manage client expectations, feedback and complaints as they arrive.


About You:

* Proven experience and highly skilled in administrative tasks
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills - building and maintaining exceptional relationships with clients, guests and stakeholders
* Professional time management
* The ability to manage budgets
* Team leadership ability
* Exceptional personal presentation
* Attention to detail - meticulous planning, record-keeping, and procedural adherence
* The ability to manage multiple requests and client demands at any given time
* Consistently look for ways to maximise client and guest experience
* The ability to work and contribute positively to a team as well as work autonomously
* Hospitality and previous wedding planning experience may be advantageous but not necessary
* Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate will be required, and can be attained at commencement.
