Qualifications & experience Diploma of Community Services and/or equivalent professional experience
* Full Class C (NSW) driver’s licence
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) from the Office of the Children’s Guardian NSW
* Sound understanding of the role of the Neighbourhood Centres in the community
* Ability to work as part of a team
Tasks & responsibilities
* Assist the Centre Manager with the development and coordination of Centre activities and projects, 21 hours a week.
* Promote the Centre’s facilities throughout the community using all forms of media.
* Promotion of the organisation’s activities and programs throughout the community using all forms of media.
* Develop community contacts and partnerships to support the Centre’s programs and projects.
* Coordinate specific community projects as allocated by the Centre Manager. Coordinate the delivery of programs and events, drive participation, and report on program outcomes.
* Identifies and responds to the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged people and other clients, including food security needs
* Aligns operations with workplace health and safety (WHS) best practice
* Other tasks as directed
