Location & Hours
Based in the welcoming rural town of Scone, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference across both inpatient and community settings. While Scone will be your primary base, you may occasionally be required to provide support at other sites across the district.
You will join a friendly and supportive Community Health team, where Allied Health professionals collaborate closely and provide in‑reach services to local hospitals and Multi‑Purpose Services. This diverse Occupational Therapy role will provide services to adult inpatients and community clients, including those receiving Palliative Care.
Responsibilities
Inpatient Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments, interventions, and discharge planning
* Ensure safe and effective transitions from hospital to home or community
Community Responsibilities
* Support clients to achieve optimal outcomes in home safety, community access, and connection to appropriate community supports
Desired Profile
* Manage your own caseload and prioritise tasks effectively
* Conduct inpatient assessments and plan safe, timely discharges
* Collaborate closely with other disciplines, especially in the inpatient setting
* Demonstrate high‑level verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences
* Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to manage complex situations
Requirements
* Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA

* Full‑time position – part‑time/job‑share arrangements may be considered.
* Eligibility criteria: Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or holding an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia.
