About the Role
Make a Global ImpactWithYour Financial Expertise
Are you an experienced accounting professional passionate about strengthening financial integrity, supporting global partners, and contributing to meaningful international development outcomes? Bapt ist World Aid is seeking an Accountant – International Projects Lead to uplift financial capability across ourorganisationand support our international partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead International Financial Reviews
* Conduct financial reviews of international partnerorganisations.
* Provide risk assessments and practical recommendations.
* Conductpartner visits andsupportexternal audits.
2. Build Financial Capacity
* Deliver training and coachingto BWAA staff andinternationalpartnersonbudgeting, financial controls, governance, and risk management.
* Providefinancial advice to International Program CoordinatorsandManagers.
3. Compliance and Governance
* Represent Financefunctionin key internal governance committees.
* EnsureOrganisationalCompliancewithexternal standards andreporting
* Maintainup-to-date knowledge of DFAT, ACFID, and other NGO financial compliance requirements.
4. Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting
* Support annual and multi-year budgeting for international programsportfolio.
* Review and advise on partner program budgetsandexpenditure reports
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Aligned to the Vision and Mission of Baptist World Aid
* Degree in Accounting, Business, or Commerce plus CA/CPA membership.
* 5+ years financial accounting or business partnering experience.
* Strong coaching, relationship building and influencing capability.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Experience in financial reviews, audits, and controls.
* Willingness to travel internationallyto developing countries (at least6 weeksa year)
Desirable knowledge Skills and Experience
* International NGO partner finance experience.
* DFAT/ANCP compliance knowledge.
* Grant budget development and oversight.
* Experience with financialcontrolsin developing countries.
