We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Mechanical & Avionics to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. Your role
In This Role, Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs on client aircraft to ensure compliance with regulations and technical publications, maintaining aircraft readiness and operational availability.
* Accurately document all maintenance tasks, ensuring work sheets, logs, tracking systems, and other required records are completed and submitted promptly.
* Work collaboratively with managers, engineers, pilots, and emergency service teams to optimize aircraft availability and performance.
* Support base operations by preparing tasks, maintaining stores, and performing ground support equipment maintenance essential for ongoing operations.
* Maintain accountability for tool control and ensure the cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of hangars, workshops, related workspaces, and vehicles.
* Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to the safety management system and other company policies and procedures.
The essential requirements
* Experience in Heavy Maintenance and worked on the fleet of four Leonardo AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters
* CASA licensed on the AW139
* Strong team player
* Ability to follow supervisory direction
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Consistent positive and proactive attitude
* Passion for safe work practices
* Valid work visa
* Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain)
* Current Australian Driver's licence
