A large, complex environment is engaging a senior, enterprise‑level Network Architect to lead the architectural design and delivery of a major multi‑site data centre network uplift. This is an expert‑level accountability role -suited to a contractor who has personally designed and delivered large‑scale data centre architectures and is comfortable owning the final technical outcome.
Responsibilities
* Own end‑to‑end architecture for multi‑site data centre network solutions
* Make and defend decisions across resilience, performance, security and operational risk
* Lead HLD/LLD design governance and produce production‑ready documentation
* Drive validation strategy (lab testing, PoCs, production readiness) and implementation oversight
* Embed automation and repeatable standards to uplift long‑term operational maturity
Must have
* 10+ years designing enterprise network architectures in complex, multi‑site environments
* Proven data centre architecture ownership across full lifecycle (strategy → HLD/LLD → delivery → transition)
* Cisco ACI (incl. multi‑site), EVPN, OSPF and BGP at enterprise scale
* Palo Alto firewall architecture and policy design; WAF/load balancer integration
Nice to have
* Optical networking strategy/transceiver design; hybrid cloud networking
* CCIE/CCDE (or equivalent); pragmatic TOGAF/NIST application
