Must have current Chris21 experience. Experience with Kronos would be beneficial.
Our payroll is across multiple EBA's and includes standard salary-based pays as well as timesheet-based payments. Candidates need to understand shift and allowance-based payroll processes too.
Our payroll varies between 1200-1400 staff. Candidates with experience working in similar organizations with an employee split between corporate and operational sectors, such as utilities or healthcare, would be advantageous.
Strong processing skills, Excel skills, and stakeholder engagement skills are required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required:
* Competent skills in payroll processing, preparation, and data entry.
* Understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including NES, taxation, and superannuation.
* Proficient in relevant software packages, including Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook, and large payroll system packages (Chris21 experience preferred).
* Numeracy skills to understand routine formulas and calculate payroll matters such as overtime and remuneration packages.
* Ability to prepare statistical and general payroll/personnel-related reports.
* Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and personnel matters.
* Customer service focus.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
