* Salary: $116,636 – $129,479 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a client-centric and practical Mental Health Advisor to assist us in providing psychological support from our Bankstown campus.
Acting as a first responder for both students and staff, your support will be crucial in assisting with a range of complex psychological concerns. You'll also contribute to implementing prevention strategies and supporting mental health initiatives within the Counselling team.

What Success Looks Like:
* Providing support and direction during critical incidents, including out-of-hours and on-call.
* Complete comprehensive risk assessments for students with complex wellbeing matters.
* Maintain up to date client case files and follow up on student progress.
* Develop strategies, policies and interventions for students with serious mental health issues.
* Liaise with internal and external bodies for appropriate referrals and representation.

About You
* A degree in Social Work, Psychology or Occupational Therapy plus membership to AASW, AHPRA or APA.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in direct counselling services within an organisational setting (familiarity working with gender diverse issues will be highly regarded).
* Understanding of risk assessment, crisis management frameworks, duty of care and intervention strategies.
* Ability to relate and work with young people across cultural, ethnic, sexual and religious boundaries.
* A current Working with Children will be required for success in this role.
