About the Project The headspace Early Psychosis (hEP) program at Headspace supports young people aged
* who are experiencing or at risk of psychosis.
This innovative program provides early intervention and recovery-focused care, delivered by a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, nursing, case management, and psychosocial interventions.
The program is committed to promoting physical and sexual health alongside mental health recovery, and actively engages families and carers in treatment planning and education.
Your Opportunity
As a Mental Health Nurse in the hEP program, you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialist clinical nursing and case management to young people aged
You'll focus on holistic care, including monitoring physical and sexual health, administering medications (such as long-acting injectables), coordinating metabolic health schedules, and providing psychoeducation and health interventions.
You'll support case managers and the medical team in integrated care delivery, ensuring comprehensive and recovery-focused support for clients and their families, while managing a small caseload.

Initially, this is a full-time (38 hours per week) maximum term contract position until 30 June

The annual salary can range from $100,
* $105,
* plus superannuation and the opportunity to take advantage of salary packaging benefits.
Who we are looking for
You will be a seasoned Mental Health Nurse (3 years +) with a passionate dedication to youth mental health.
In addition, you will have the following : Ability to administer long-acting injectable antipsychotics, monitor for adverse reactions, and maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with AHPRA standards.
Proven experience in health checks, metabolic monitoring, and delivering psychoeducation and brief interventions to support physical and sexual health.
Skilled in comprehensive assessments, care planning, and managing a small caseload within early psychosis programs.
Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external providers to ensure integrated care and smooth transitions.
Strong commitment to consumer engagement, family support, confidentiality, and adherence to clinical governance frameworks while meeting KPI requirements.
Highly developed consultation, communication, and interpersonal skills, to engage effectively with diverse clients, staff, and stakeholders.
Possess current registration as a Clinical Nurse with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) A flexible, open, and engaging approach – you'll be working with a range of clients with differing needs and complexities Qualified and registered / accredited Nurse with AHPRA.
You'll also need a current Queensland Driver's License, the ability to obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), and National Police Check clearance.

The centre is located across the road from the Broadwater Parklands, with a mix of paid and unpaid on-site parking, and surrounded by plenty of shops and cafes.
