We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide hands-on, person-centred support to individuals in a highly regulated NDIS environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Squad Manager, you will work closely with participants, their families, and our frontline team to deliver best-practice disability support. This role blends direct care and support coordination with practical, day-to-day assistance to empower individuals and help them achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Service Delivery: Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, assist with daily activities, community participation, and social inclusion. Implement therapy and behaviour support strategies. Mentor new staff and complete required documentation accurately.
* Quality & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements, respond to emerging issues promptly, and contribute to a positive safety culture.
* People & Team: Foster a person-centred team culture, participate in supervision and performance reviews, and maintain a respectful work environment.
* Personal Accountability: Comply with Super Squad's values, policies, and procedures. Collaborate across teams and respond to health and safety issues. Attend mandatory training.
Person Specification
* Qualifications & Compliance:
o Certificate III or IV in Disability (or working towards). Desired
o Valid WWCC, Police Clearance (within the past 3 months), WA Driver's License, First Aid & CPR.
o NDIS check and orientation completed.
o Right to work in Australia.
o Own vehicle with insurance and a mobile phone.
o HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication
o Department of Communities Clearance
* Experience:
o Experience supporting individuals with disabilities in home/community settings.
o Knowledge of community support agencies and relevant disability services.
o Familiarity with the Disability Services Act and Standards.
o Awareness of diverse cultural needs.
