Responsibilities: Develop and sustain tailored risk tools, reporting, and procedures that align with the specific needs of the directorate. Lead regular reviews and assessments to help teams identify, evaluate, and respond to operational risks. Collaborate closely with leaders and different business units to strengthen understanding of risk and integrate it into planning and service execution. Assist in reviewing and refining internal controls, focusing on their effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement. Oversee the process for managing incidents, issues, and near misses, including root cause analysis and follow-up actions. Contribute risk perspectives to business continuity planning, change initiatives, and procurement processes. Provide regular risk updates and summaries to leadership and the Line 2 Risk team. What you'll need to succeed : At least 5 years of experience in operational risk management, service delivery, compliance, or governance roles Demonstrated ability to implement and apply risk frameworks in a practical, hands-on way. Strong understanding of operational risk concepts including incident management, controls, and business continuity. Experience working in or with aged care or community services, NFP, or health and human services sectors. Proven stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.
