Procurement Category Manager – ProductionJoin to apply for the Procurement Category Manager – Production role at News Corp AustraliaProcurement Category Manager – Production6 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Procurement Category Manager – Production role at News Corp AustraliaWhat's the role?We're seeking a highly skilled and motivatedWhat's the role?We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Category Manager – Production to join our dynamic procurement team in Sydney.The role reports to the General Manager of Procurement and will be responsible for the full end-to-end procurement lifecycle for Production which includes services such as Production Consumables (such as ink, plates, and plastic wrap), Production Equipment, Printing Services and Temporary Labour.The successful candidate will work within our dynamic and collaborative team of procurement professionals taking an active lead in the delivery of procurement and contract management activities for their category.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement category strategies to achieve cost savings, reduce risk, and increase operational efficiencies through a range of procurement activities from market analysis, tendering, contract negotiation and contract implementation. Prepare high quality fit for purpose procurement documentation, including procurement plans, tender packs and schedules. Develop strategies from a procurement perspective to help optimise its P&L and help drive operational efficiencies.Sourcing & Negotiation: Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, RFQs, commercial negotiations, to secure optimal contract terms and pricing.Stakeholder Management & Partnering: Develop a collaborative partnership with the business to unlock value for stakeholders through all avenues of the sourcing and contract management lifecycle. Requires interacting directly with key internal stakeholders (e.g. Legal, Risk, Insurance, Compliance, Sustainability etc) on a regular basis to ensure efficient delivery of procurement initiatives.Contract & Supplier Management: Provision of expert advice and guidance to business stakeholders in contract management matters. Oversee and manage existing supplier relationships, contract performance and compliance, and risk mitigation to ensure high-quality services and value is maintained.Project Management: Drive transformational procurement projects from initiation to completion, to deliver significant business impact. Prepare and present award recommendations to senior management.Who are you?Professional experience (5+ years) in Procurement and / or Supply Chain Management role(s) looking for the next step in your career. Production, print or manufacturing category experience highly desirable.Experienced in strategic sourcing, and supplier and contract management with exceptional written and verbal skills.Ability to build strong internal and supplier relationships and to work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.A self-starter with excellent analytical and problem solving skills who has the ability to navigate a complex organisation.Highly confident working with contracts - review, drafting and advice with support from senior procurement management and Legal.A positive, collaborative, proactive and ethical approach to your work with an ability to challenge the status quo.Highly developed commercial acumen with a proven track record of achieving and delivering cost savings and commercial and operational benefits.Confident in your ability to manage multiple projects.Resilient, flexible and able to work to tight deadlines.Applicants that have the following experience are also encouraged to apply:Procurement professionals with experience working in highly complex large organisations and have transferable skills.Lawyers with 5+ year’s broad contracts or commercial experience looking to make the move into procurement.News BenefitsNews Benefits is our way of saying thank you to our people for their valued contribution to News, our audiences, clients and communities.
