EHW Technology is a business IT specialist based in Mackay. EHW Technology and our sister company The Laptop Man, service business and residential clients in the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday region.
We are currently looking for a full-time IT Service Technician experienced with computer hardware and software for an immediate start. This is an entry level role perfect for those who are straight out of school or university. The available role involves providing in-house repairs, maintenance, trouble shooting, sales, customer support and warranty support. Also providing technical support to small businesses and residential customers and resolve/escalate incidents and service requests in a timely and effective manner.
The successful applicant must have/can do the following.
* IT knowledge in desktop/laptop hardware and software
* A strong ability to manage and process incidents and service requests then resolve and/or escalate in a timely and effective manner
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent Customer Relation skills
* Great time management skills, with an ability to priorities and deliver to strict timeframes
* Support the existing service department
* Experience with Windows 10 / 11
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2019 / Office 365
* Experience in desktop support particularly in diagnosing errors and replacing hardware
* Experience in networking printers / scanner setup
* Current driver's license
* Australian Citizenship or appropriate work visa (this is not a sponsored role)
Minimum qualifications
* Working proficiency in verbal and written English
* Year 12 certificate
Knowledge/Desirable qualifications
* Hands on experience with hardware repairs
