As a Carpentry Apprentice, you'll learn the trade through hands-on maintenance and repairs to keep our city's assets safe, functional and in working order.Support the Building Maintenance team.
This role is based at the Oak Flats Services Depot and reports to the Team Coordinator, Building Maintenance.
You will complete a Certificate III in Carpentry course at Shellharbour TAFE to gain and develop practical knowledge and skills associated with the presentation of our city.
This opportunity is open to school leavers, mature age applicants and/or those who have already commenced their Certificate III in Carpentry.
Note: funding confirmation is required; successful applicants will commence in January 2026 based on funding being confirmed.This is part of the Council's Cadet, Apprentice and Trainee (CAT) Program, which provides ongoing training, guidance and support while completing a nationally recognised qualification.About Shellharbour City Council is located in the Illawarra region, just 80 minutes south of Sydney, home to over 82,000 people.
